About Me
- Name: Pennine Walkers
Tamara Ashley and Simone Kenyon share mutual interests in exploring performance and improvisation to build narratives within and for landscapes and places. Currently, our work is concerned with specific response to and interaction with sites, bringing alive the heritage of the site and posing new ideas about places through performance. Most recently we presented 'Exchanging Stone for Coal' as a four day and four hour durational site sensitive performance at Nott Dance 06 and Newcastle's Dancing the World Festival, respectively. Through the creation of new choreographies, our aim is to create a dialogue with and through the journeys we (all) share.
